Christmas Tree Recycling Locations Near Lake Conroe & Montgomery County Texas

The New Year is around the corner and it’s time to put the ornaments away. This year please consider recycling your Christmas tree at one of the area’s local recycling centers. The city of Houston hosts an annual event every year, but you must be a resident to drop at many of the locations.

Fun Facts- Did you know????

1. Trees are biodegradable and make terrific mulch and walkways. They also provide soil stabilization by preventing erosion and make wonderful habitats for fish in local lakes and ponds.
2. Each year, some 25,000,000 to 30,000,000 Christmas trees are harvested for sale.
3. For every tree harvested 3 seedlings are planted in its place, but it will take them 7 years to mature to a height for holiday cheer.
4. The Texas drought has claimed almost half a billion trees. Check out this article.
5. Arbor day is in April. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if statewide everyone planted a tree to two?
